Giants Causeway Full Day Tour
The Causeway coastal route, from Larne is a journey of
natural wonders, peppered with villages and towns, which have
retained character and charm over generations. As you drive
you'll be amazed at the dazzling views of the Scottish coast
unfolding across the North Channel on a clear day. We pass
through Ballygally, Glenarm, Carnlough, Glenariff, Cushendall
with its unique town - centre tower house, Cushendun, a
relaxing 'time-capsule' village of pretty Cornish-style
cottages, then we continue along the coast to Torr Head that
scenically is one on the finest sections of coastal road in
Ireland (inaccessible by large coaches) Torr Head itself has
great seascape views. We continue on toward Ballycastle, where
if you are there in August, you can join in the fun of the
Oul' Lammas Fair and sample the traditional sticky sweet yellow
man and the edible seaweed called Dulce.
Be careful not to fall prey though to the mysterious
'vanishing lake' of Loughareema along the way. From Ballycastle
we go to the Carrick-a-Rede rope bridge, which swings over an
80-foot chasm. Then to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the
Giants Causeway one of Irelands major visitor attractions. A
wonderful honeycomb of almost 40,000 mainly hexagonal columns a
sight not to be missed and never to be forgotten. From the
Causeway you can take a ride on the steam train or we will
drive you to Bushmills, the home of the world's oldest whiskey
distillery, established in 1608. You can tour the distillery or
